No More Meat
This poster was created as a student project in which I was randomly assigned the phrase “no more meat” and asked to create propaganda out of it. Rather than taking the obvious vegetarian route, I tackled the more controversial issue of men (and, ahem, their “meat”) involving themselves in the politics surrounding women’s control over their bodies. What ensued is a constructionist-inspired collage of prominent male politicians who are known for their conservative anti-feminist opinions being mauled by a hoard of angry beavers – also a slangy metaphor.
During Cornish’s 2014 poster show, No More Meat won a judge’s choice award from the wonderful Jesse LeDoux.
